Default Carpet Cleaner?

The gray carpet in my ride really needs a shampooing but I was gonna just scrub it myself and let it dry. Anybody have recommendations for good carpet cleaner/ stain remover that isnt meant for a shampooer. Or could i just use the stuff thats supposed to go in a carpet shampooer?

They sale stuff that is meant to be sprayed on, scrubbed and patted dry with a towel. Some of them work really well. I'm not sure what brand i used, sorry.

to be honest when i got my car the carpets looked like **** lol, but i went to the dollar store and got there brand carpet cleaner and it worked really well. i soaked my carpets in it and scrubbed them with a scrub brush and it got out almost all the stains. i dryed it with towels... its cheap and worked awesome

Ive tried quite a few and many of them are good for getting stains out but the best results I have had was when I pulled out all of the seats and steam cleaned the entire carpet. Really makes it smell fresh and basically like a new car. Its a day project but its worth it, and the seats are just held in by 4 bolts if I remember correctly.

+1 for steam clean.. There's a solvent for it too...

Also, don't unhook the wire connection to your seats (yellow plug?) unless your battery is disconnected... IIRC, yellow plugs = Air bag plug and it could go off..

i dont remember seeing a yellow plug. there was the plug for the air bolsters and the main harness for the power seats. i swapped out my corbeaus and havent had anything hooked back up since i took the stockers out. i never disconnected the battery either

but i used this stuff called folex. its a basic looking bottle, theres none of that fancy, in your face advertizing but it worked and got the 5 year old coke stains out of the carpet

I've used Tuff Stuff Foam Cleaner on small carpet stains in my older cars.

Default Carept Cleaning

Cleaning your carpet and upholstery doesn't just have to be to avoid wear and age. It can also be due to accidents. If you are going to have a party, or if you have just had a party and there are stains all over it from food and drinks then you can call a professional cleaner to come and get it out. For more information just visit our website at AJS Carpet Cleaning, Inc. Salt Lake, UT 84143

Folex is awesome stuff! that's what ive used for years. a big bottle of it is $6 at home depot. spray it on and scrub it in, let it sit for a while then use a towel to scrub it in or vacuum it up.

^ I always used to use Blue Coral and it worked quite well. Now I use Meguiars APC at 4:1, never fails.

Folex works just as well for a 1/4 of the price. if you havn't tried it, i suggest trying it out and saving some money. Adam products are nice but you are def. paying for the name on that!!

x2 on Meguirs APC. that's what i use to clean and if i run out of Folex i use it on the carpets! Folex and Meg. APC are two of the best products on the market in my opinion

I've used nearly everything suggested in here, and with the exception of my hot water extractor, 303 Carpet Cleaner is the best product I've ever used for it.

I use TUFF STUFF, bucket of hot water with a stiff scrub brush.

Spray it on thick, let it sit a minute, dip the scrub brush in the water and start scrubbing.

Use a dry towel to wipe the carpet.
