Default My Trans Am HID install..

I knew I didn't want to go without having projectors in the headlights as I saw how annoying my HID's in my fog lights were. I had to spend some considerable time to aim them so that they were not blinding everyone. I had my wife drive the car past me on highway over and over again, resetting them each time..

I knew I also wanted to use the Hella 60mm and found a good deal on them and picked up a set.

Then I basically took the dimensions of the stock headlight bucket and had a handful of brackets cut out and threw them in the car.

Here are the brackets. I painted them with Rustoleum truck bed liner. This stuff rocks and looks really good. I've used it on everything from airplanes to rifles.. LOL.

Then I mounted them up..

I can't decide if I want to run HID or Halogen headlights. I don't want to draw up another bracket for the Hella 60mm high beams, as they are different than the low's. I also don't see the need for high beams too often and will be re-modding the car for the highs/lows/fogs to all be on at once, so I think I'll have plenty of light..

To each his own I guess. Not fond of the look, but I defiantly applaud the craftsmanship. Can you tell a difference driving with the projectors?

Well, I'm not trying to force your applause.. Maybe definitely?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right? I think it'll look more complete when I get another set of projectors in the high beam locations. Here's a photoshopped image..

It's not really an appearance mod though, I guess, since the only time anyone would see it, the lights would be on and thus you really wouldn't see the housings, etc..

Yes, the projectors make a huge difference over the stock halogens.

The projectors are just out in the breeze and are open to bug/rock hits.. From what I've read, they are more durable than the stock halogen bulbs, so felt comfortable running them with no protection.

Yeh, here are a few..

This one is before I did too much adjusting.. I had to run down to a local gas station to get some level ground to adjust the lights. I was "mid-adjust" when some local rednecks came out and started acting like there was going to be an issue, so I left..

I went down to another location that I thought might not end up in someone getting shot and took these..

I basically adjusted it until I stopped getting flashed by trucks. Cars never seemed to mind, but taller trucks sure had an issue with it at first. I guess I need to see if there is an official way to adjust the beam for optimal effectiveness..

I agree it will look better after you do the high beams. You should market and sell them on here.

For a complete kit, the BLS is definitely the way to go..

Looks bad *** man! How can I do this to my bird!?!? Anyone ever used a projector or better lens for the fogs? I have the ddm+truck housing on my bird. Its great being able to see better and I never get anyone high beamin me on the road. But when I switched cars with my friend one night and he was behind me in my car I realized how annoying those bright hids are! the low beams were blinding me and were worse then high beams whn he was following me, I'm taking BRIGHT!

But I don't like how the fogs look with the hid bulbs. Any other options to make the light output better?
