Default Grand Am shift handle and boot
By far the easiest mod ive done - the writeup is floating around but im certain our cars were meant to have the boot. While it was all apart, I cut down the shaft 1.25"

eBay - the 99-03 Grand Ams and Impalas use the same boot and theyre available in charcoal and ebony

Not a fan of the way they look. The shaft shortening mod is a good mod though.

I've been eyeing some of the Fiero(?) shift ***** that look just like Firebird ***** but with finger grips, styled like the door panel hand grips.

Looks decent, but redlinegoods has a better looking one for a more $.

Looks much cleaner.
Anyone tried this with an old-school rubber boot? I have a hurst t-handle so the leather may not look so good for me.
