Default SS hood scoop grill- gloss or flat black?

Anyone paint their SS hood scoop insert? I'm getting a new paint job so getting new parts, painting parts, etc and I'm thinking of painting the grill piece gloss black, easier to keep clean, but I dont want it looking cheesy so maybe the trim black paint which is almost satin. Its on a red Camaro so if anyone has any pics that would be awesome.

TIA

I did mine with Chrome paint a long time ago and it looked great until the sun faded it. I recently picked up YoFab's stainless insert and love it. Looks like new money and wont be fading anytime soon.

The reason for not leaving stock is that its faded and I'm not spending money on a new one.

Chrome or billet would be easy to keep clean but not my style for this car. Classics maybe.
