Default What aftermarket 1993-02 Fbody Seats are best????

I am looking to update my seats to a more comfortable brand. I am looking at Corbeau, Recaro or maybe some GTO seats 04-06. Do GTO seats fit these cars...one guy says no and others say yes. Are Recaros worth the extra money and which models are you guys digging. Any help would be nice and links .Thank you...I just don't want to buy a bad seat or one that does not fit.

Couple I am looking at.

I wanted GTO seats in mine, but they really don't "flow" with the interior they would stick out like crazy.

They will fit, after modification to the rails of course, however they will seat you about an inch taller.

The "best" seat is a seat that you like and fit into.

The best aftermarket seats hands down are COBRA seats. You will pay big money for some of them but you will see why when you sit in one compared to a Corbeau/Recaro/Sparco/Bride etc etc.

Great info guys.....So GTO seats sit too high and rails need to be modified? Ugh that does not sound too good. I have a couple inches to spare though being 6 feet. Cobra seats???? Will look into them. Which one is really comfy? There are a few big money seats...Recaros are really pricey and wondering if it is worth it. Corbeaus are about 500 each. Cobras are???? The GTO mod seemed pretty good since a pair is 400 on ebay usually. Hmmm

Checked out the Cobra seats...seem pretty nice and are they much better than corbeaus. What model did you buy and which one has a lot of back padding?

This. There is no "best" except for the one that fit into the best and like the look and feel of.

I will re PHRASE.....Best Bang for buck seat??? That is where I am headed. I kinda like the Corbeau and CObra seats as they are not in Recaro price country.

For some reason my wife wouldn't approve me getting $3000 pair of seats.. dunno why lol.. I like the "Misano" model.

Best bang for the buck IMO would probably be Yonaka Ronin seats. They are the same seats that Mark (6LE) sells but you can find them much cheaper if you look around. They are actually based off a Recaro design as well. You can find them a pair for $300 or less if you look around good.

Also Procar by Scat seats are pretty good bang for the buck and a few look sweet.

I work on all highend race cars and restorations and ive been in just about every aftermarket seat you can, and while of course the cobra seats are sick i also couldnt stomach droppin that much coin on them.

With that said, out of all the seats i love Recaros, i have them in both my Camaro and WS6, and you just cant go wrong with them, They look awesome, The padding is awesome and they are comfortable as hell, even on long 8 hour plus rides, they fit like a glove, and there unbelievably strong ive seen them withstand some serious track crashes and thats great piece of mind IMO

The corbueu seats look comfy. And everything but I hate the lines. Unless you have the backseat delete they look bad imo. The lines stand out way to.much going the opposite direction. Just my .02
