Default Anyone ever change a dash out ?

Morning campers,

Ok, my pet project (93Z28) is finally back in my gareage. I updated to '02 body panels, hood, lights, etc, so she looks like a 02 SS. I have the interior gutted, sans the dash, and have the 6-point and all the tin installed.

I got a new dash (complete w/ frame and duct work) Now looking for anyone that may have done this swap....93 to 98-02 model. PSJ and I think that it should be pretty straight forward....but alas, these things never are, right.

Anyone ever done this ? Any ideas ? I have the worst feeling that a 6 hour job might turn into a 3 week adventure

Thanks,
Kev

Just have to drop the steering column. After that it's just removing the bolts/screws you find along the way. Pretty easy, did it by myself.

Are all the mount locations the same...what about the wiring? I have the new H,V,AC controls, and the vent tubes...do these all line up as well?

Sorry, I just don't wanna tear it apart and then go, " WTF??"

Thanks Cannibal

don't think the wiring harness will match up with the new controls.
Just changing the dashes out is no big deal, but getting everything to work is another job.
We've placed an 01 dash into our 1988 Z, but we are running the 01 harness and motor.

it's custom. Hubby did all the interior pieces. Since we were merging 3rd gen with 4th gen we did lots of custom pieces. Its just mdf board cut into flames. Then sanded and bondo'd to the shape we wanted and covered in ultra leather.

here's the show car interior we used to have in there
