there is way better stuff than mothers, the best store stuff i have ever used is white diamond, but adams has the best stuff out right now, but for exhaust tips mothers, bluemagic or anyone of those should do you just fine, i like mothers , its not bad and does a good job, but imo just cant hang when compared to other products out right now.it really depends on the job, if your gonna repolish some beat up polished aluminum rims that need alot of work i would say get something good, to clean 2 dirty exhaust tips any of those listed will be fine

I use White Diamond on my wheels but haven't tried it on my tips. Every time my car gets washed which about once to two times a week, I always get my tips and they look just as good after cleaning as they do when I bought them and I've only polished them one time in the 6+ plus I've had them and like I said, I used Mothers the one time I did polish them.

I use Liqui Tech metal finish--its a polishing cream that is non abrasive.

If they are chrome you don't really need to polish them, just clean them.

If they are stainless most metal polishes will work, just takes time and effort.

I would of bet the old "Adams" thing was going to pop up.
Yeah blue magic has been around for sometime and still works good.

i bought 2 bumpers for my 67 mustang. i had to clean them to get minor rust off, if i leave them anywhere with moisture like if i put them in my garage (has no insulation), it makes the rust come back. will a regular car wax keep it from rusting?

I use Mother's. It's alot of work if they're really dirty, but well worth it, take your time. I spent nearly two hours for both my tips.
