Question Remove Side Molding or no?

I've got a black Firehawk and I am trying to decide whether or not to remove the side molding. It has started to look kinda crapy and doesn't shine like the rest of the car. If you all could post up some pics of black firebirds with the molding gone I would love to see them. The only spot that I don't think I will like the molding gone is between the two wents in front of the doors. Any close-ups in that area would be awesome. Thanks!!!

Also, with my car being black and an '02, do you think the paint will not match underneath? Could the rest of the car faded much in 1.5 yrs?

Zoltan, chime in here so I can get the opinion of the other details crazy black T/A in the area!

It looks ssssoooo much cleaner without the molding. I toke mine off about 6 months ago on my 2000 and the paint matched perfectlly.

I took mine off after having the car 3 years an you could never tell that it was on there. It looks sooo much cleaner. I would recommend that mod to everyone.

The only mark I have ever gotten on my door was up high by the handle...our doors have such a drastic curve on them that the molding on that part is somewhat useless so I am not too worried about door dings, plus I try NEVER to park near anyone! Hehe.

just do it, you wont be dissapointed. as was said before, the car looks much cleaner as though the molding were never supposed to be there. i was kinda apprehensive about doing it but a recent fender bender made it a neccessity and im happy with it.
