Question Where should I install sound deadener??

I did a search, but didn't find anything. I have 85sq ft of sound deadener and was wondering where would be the most effective places to lay it in a 4th gen f-body. I am for sure putting some under my door panels. This by no means is for a boom system, I am just looking for a tighter, quieter ride. I would also like to eliminate some rattles. Please let me know if you have done this!

Thanks

I would recommend pulling out the seats, sail panels, and carpet...and then covering everything that is metal starting with the floor and out back over the axle hump. You might be able to get everything from the firewall back (including the doors) with that much. I did everything except the doors in my car and it got a LOT quieter. I covered the floor, sides, axle hump, trunk, and b-pillars (everything except the doors) with about 40-50 sqft.

Here are some pics I found:

you have a ton to play with!!!!
Definately doors. That should be first on everyones list. Then sail panels, under the carpet in the hatch, then under the carpet below the seats.

NOBR8KSS, my interior is pretty much all ripped out right now, so I must attack. Thanks for the pics, helps alot.

I deffinately plan to get the doors, with 85sq ft, I should be able to get pretty much everthing.

How much does all that weigh? I'd think adding it everywhere would significantly increase the weight, but it would be nice for it to be a bit quiter.

I think dynomat is .4 lbs per a sq foot.. so if you put in 70sq ft then it would be 28lbs of weight.. worth it in my opinion (unless you car is JUST for drag racing)..
