Default C6 style headlights for LS1 Trans Am, changed my opinion! need help tho.

i always hated the the non pop up head light conversions. thought that they looked stupid. but found a bad *** set. ill post pic below.

i have done some investigating, and read some hear-say that there is a guy on here who fab's custom molded HID ones for about half of the price of those shitty ebay ones that cost $1k. i have no idea who he is, or how to contact him. :/ any one know him? i really liked this set, they may be production? or custom made? ...i dont think its photoshoped... but if it is, guy's a pro. but here it is....

The first one looks familiar.... I think it was a photoshop that was posted on here a while back. I wouldn't be surprised if its the same scenario with the second one. Otherwise, I'd be very interested in how those were done.

Wow, they both look great imo. The pop up head lights are one of the things that kept me a way from a T/A.

The first pic is shopped for sure...I can tell by the pixels and seeing quite a few shops in my time. LOL

If you look at the top corners, you can see the original headlight doors. The shape is a little off by the bumper too.

The second one might actually be real. I like it better.

I like the second set on the white car much better. What hood does it have? Anyone notice it appears to have 4 heat extractors and not just 2?

First one is fake and looks like **** imo..

Pretty sure second is real and I like it half way.

POP up ftw however! It's part of the car.

Don't like pop-ups? Buy a Camaro.

^ i was about to post that, i remember that car (mostly becaue of the hood) it was some sort of pearl white like's what is on the cadillac cars.

and when ls1.com was up, there was someone that took that overpriced set and got rid of the clear lense over it and those looked really good but he said, there was a lot of work in refining them and making sure they were sealed, before he painted them

evidently no kits except the breathless kits were ever made, and the maker of the white cars headlights made his set and wont make anymore as of June '06.

my thought is buy the breathless kit, and mold in and fiber glass the Halo projectors, basically just use the housing. paint the molding to match body to minize sticking out.

thanks for the thread reference. as far as buying the camaro, i had one. and personally like the TA better, but there is always room for improvement and innovation ya know? i dont want the car that daddy can go buy his 16 year old son for 15k from carmax. i want something unique, that nobody else has.

i hated the fixed light on a bird at first, but i believe they can be fabbed up to look awesome. there potential there. just going to take some work. and itll be something no one has. not to mention dropping 40 lbs, getting rid of the rectangular lights, not having to deal with the strip-proned plastic gears.

Turns out that link was in the Non-Popup section of the Lighting FAQ. I guess I forgot about it. I just copied it to the Projector section too.
