Help! Drag look or Stock SS look
I'm in the process of building a cloned 1996 SS. I've got everything I need except for the ash tray lid plaque and door sticker. Anyway, I need your most honest input on the wheels/appearance.
Option 1 : full blown SS clone with the 17" ZR1 silver painted wheels. This is great for all around driving, highway etc. Like the look but not 100%
Option 2 : Huge fan of the SS and a set of weld draglites with skinnys in the front. Car is no longer a daily driver so I can stay off the highways due to skinnys. It only sees car shows, cruising around town.
Need your feedback!

Agree , I like the drag look , I will tell you driving on skinnys does get old. I drove about a 1000 miles a week for about 3 months, and I will tell you its just overall better to have a street set up. I agree on having more than 328 HP for a drag look, but honest a well built car doesn't need a ton of HP, I hate how people say that, I have seen a few rides that just hauled *** and didn't make a ton of hp

I dont daily drive my car with my Bogarts, but I could. While my truck was broke I did drive it for about two weeks everyday. Iv drove it about 80-90 miles one way on the interstate probably averaging 75mph a few times. This is on a 17x6 and a 15x10 with a 28x13.5 ET Street..I wouldnt recomend a bais ply for everyday, the wear faster and in the rain is a NO NO! If you want to drive it look into a Nitto Radial or something thats not soo scary in the rain.

Nothing wrong with a clone. The 96-97 SS's were rare, as long as you don't sell it as a real SS I see no problem. My plan is a 3" VFN SS hood and an SS spoiler with the repaint, badges too. Just need the hood. If I were you I'd go with the drag look, everyone's car needs a personal touch. Do what you like, not what others want to see.

Drag!!!!
I'm puttin a set of Draglites on my lt1 bird.... And no it doesn't make a lot of power either!!!
Just a full bolt on, full suspension, geared/stalled, street car....
Ok, ok... Maybe a 100 shot but still making under 400rwhp!

Nah, if I ever sold this car I would never sell it as a true SS car. The key word is "if" because I plan on never getting rid of this thing. I have the SS badges with the silver outline ready to go. Black only came with the red outlined SS letters so I'll change it up a bit.
Even though I love the drag wheels, I've decided to still go ZR1 or Gray C5 Z06 wheels. To many pot holes around my area, thought I cracked a TL rim the other day!
Here's a pic of what it will look like when I'm done. I cant find the other pictures of this car, had the pic on my computer for a long time.
