Good pic and should get a bit more width with the projectors spread out a little bit more. Should be interesting with 4 of them.

Can you do the same type of pics with the camera on the same settings for the 1993-1997 FX-R retrofit and the 1998-2002 Hell retrofit? I'd like to see the comparison. So far, those matchbox projectors appear to produce a narrow beam.

Was that with Halogen or HID?

I think that pic was from another forum if I recall correctly.

When I take the final pics with the setup installed, I will be using the same camera as what was done with the other headlight shots. Below were a couple quick pics taken when the projectors first came in (all with HID lamps).

Pic below is with only one projector using the same camera.

This pic is a taken with a cell phone (yea I know...) showing a comparison from a G8 halogen projector to the matchbox unit (Matchbox is the top cutoff, bottom is the halogen G8.)

Does that G8 projector have a halogen bulb in it or a HID kit? It looks as bright as that matchbox projector with HID.

Whats with the odd stray light above the cut-off. Take a look at the cut-off shield for gaps/holes that should be covered.

The G8 has a HID lamp in it as well. I think there is a slight reflection off the little solenoid cylinder which connects to the cutoff shield. I'm goin to play with it a bit.

OK. That makes more sense.

Due to the small size of the matchbox projectors, you should probably stick with 35 watt. 55watt may burn them up (the chrome on the bowl will probably bubble).

Yea we will be running a 35W kit with these to avoid issues with excessive heat from the 55W system.

Any idea on the final pricing of the Full set of four?
I think the issue with the appearance lies with the dual colors. If the exterior cover lens was frosted or VHT'd it seems like it would satisfy most people. I'm not too sure how a chrome surround would be in comparison.
I'm sick of the shitty light output of stock headlights, and it's way past due for something like this to be on the market. I think the execution is perfect, and adding in an exterior lens option to give it a uniform look would seal the deal for me, if not most interested buyers. Personally I think a solid black assembly when turned off would be clean as hell, stock looking too. I'd still VHT them if an option wasn't offered though.

This is looking very good! I myself like the black housing and the round projectors!! This gives me more reason to convert my front end back to an LT1!!

Just to clarify a bit more, the two housing setup will be a bit more than our 98-02 Firebird low beam kit. The quad will not be inexpensive since the number of components are doubled. If we get a good response when these go on sale, I can work out better pricing with our suppliers and pass that along to the customer. We will be getting these installed the weekend of the 9th and then be able to post all the final info.

When you do, can you take side-by-side pics of the projector on one side and the sealed beam on the other. That will really show the output difference and make a great pic to help sell the product.

Full comparison shots will be taken to show the difference. I anticipate it to make quite the difference.

dang, about 1.5 more weeks of suspense to go! you can pretty much write me down for a set of quads with 6k hids. the black housings will actually match with my car since i've kept the headlight pockets satin black and have a black grill. basically just waiting to confirm that these will fit right as far as gaps with the hood and bumper and the quad housings relative to each other. a smoke lens option would be interesting to see if available as well.

So we can buy them come the 9th?

Will these require wiring and what not?

Can you make them flash and pulse with a siren?

All their kits are plug and play so I dont think you would need anything.

You want the projectors to flash?

You can't flash/pulse HIDs.
