Default From Reddish Orange to Blue!

My girlfriend got me an SLP filter to get rid of the orange K and N I've had for a few years. I really like the difference. Looks better in person without the glares. Did have a question for anyone who has this filter, can you use a K and N filter kit to recharge it?

Also got Summit lowering springs and drag shocks, but those pics won't be ready til spring.

K and N:

You can, but the K&N oil is red. It'll dye it a bit. Blue and red makes purple.

I use this on my blue Holly air filter:

Looks good man!

Here's mine: Shameless pic to show off....

The lid is a FTP 105mm clear lid. They don't make them in clear anymore.

How is your MTI clear lid holding up? Clear lids have a problem with cracking because it's not of the same material as the black lids.

If you use the K&N recharge kit, it'll dye the filter a reddish color again.
Should've gone AMSOIL- no need for a recharge kit.

Tough about it, but IIRC the pics I've seen of those had a orange gasket ring, or whatever you call the outer edge of the filter.
