Default Other options for hood scoop?

I got a yo fab chrome hood scoop insert and have it on but am really back and forth about of it looks tacky.

What other options are there for a SS hood scoop grill? Does anyone make maybe a black chrome?

IMO those chrome scoop inserts just look tacky no matter what. I don't think I've ever seen a car that has been able to make them work.

I was looking at mine a while back when I was waiting for my manta stripe to come and I just decided to keep the black plastic insert clean so it stays nice looking and somewhat glossy.

Why don't you just take the stock one and paint it whatever color you want? I painted mine with a gloss red that matches the badges and nose emblem. pretty easy to do

slow96ss you got any pics?

Here are a couple I took.....I took it off but honestly I kinda like it on now. Also I have front stainless steel inserts underneath the grille, they aren't on in the pic. Let me know what you guys think. Also just FYI the fogs aren't green they match the headlights perfectly, both 6k.

Thanks bob. Anyone else have thoughts?

And slow96 I think that actually looks kinda good I was skeptical when you described it. But not sure what color I would paint mine if I did do that

Thanks i think it looks better in person than that pic But i have a friend with an 01 ss that's silver and we can't decide a color for him either but he kinda liked the idea of a blue and for some reason he was also into a dark shade of lime green

The grill you have is not one of ours; Ours follow the stock grill exactly so it doesn't look like a tacky honey comb pattern. http://store.yoastfabrication.com/se...l?sfs=a1ac2e2d
