They are for reverse.. If you copied the look of the Trans Am lights with the honey comb though, they would look even cleaner.

While the lenses that I could make wouldn't have the same indenting for the reverse lights, I do plan on painting a round reverse light like the LS-style.

I didn't know Pontiacs had export lights! Those are still LT1 style though. I like em on that black, but they ain't no honeycomb. I knew Camaros had the candy corn exports though.

I could pull this off, if the black insert separate on the LT1 housings or it it part of the lens?

I don't have a problem with it all be solid.. Looks cleaner IMO.

I would change only to see if I liked it, I might hate it.

Worth a shot though. It is OEM looking and different.

The black grid in the LT tails doesn't come out. It's between laminated sheets of the lens. Partial de-lamination does happen but not where you could get to the whole grid and remove it. To have clear honeycomb taillights, a new lens would be required.

If we show them there is enough interest, I'm sure they'd at least consider it.

for those that havent seen, Bfranker has been selling the reverse light honeycomb decals on his site for several years now. Here's a link to a picture of a formula with them installed (also has the export bumper) but you get the idea:

Those decals suck ***.. I have a set and they dont lay down like you think.. they are very very very difficult to install.. I also have the pattern to make more... I can also do the clear tails too... thats not too hard to do either... You just gotta have the nuts to tear apart a 400$ set of tail lights.. haha..
