I just picked up an SS hood for my LT1 car finally and I'm debating if I want to do the whole scoop black or just the inset area black like late 2nd gen Z28's. My car has a lot of black accents heres some pics to get an idea:







Anyone have a manta stripe with the inner part black like this??:

I vote for the insert area to be black. I think it'll look better with the other black accents you have. Car looks great btw!

Thanks! I'm actually going to do the regular manta and continue the stripe to the rear.. I'm going to use a decal though.

Good choice, I have never been a big fan of the "reverse manta." Post up some pics when you get it done.

I just had a fill in decal made for my 3 inch ss hood, i like it, i was going to take my hood back to my painter and have him do the manta and fill in, but i thought it would be to much
