Default caliper painting, quick question

is it necessary to get that in depth of sanding down the caliper before applying primer? or should i just clean em w/ brake cleaner real quick?
im in the middle of doing the first and sanding the rear with all the grooves sucks.

You don't need primer. Just get high temp engine paint, or brake paint if you can find it. Make sure it's very clean and dry before you spray or brush it on.

Excessive sanding not required. I definitely use a high temp paint such as engine paint.
