In my understanding, I think you would need to replace the entire kit, but I might be wrong.

Yea, they're expensive but think that just might be your best bet. Are yours really messed up? Post pics.

I know there is a guy on HID Planet he can polish the lens if you can separate it from the body of the projector. If you were to do this it would make it more of a clear lens which could increase the output. Just something to think about.

I literally thought this same thing and did a search about it in this section like 2 weeks ago with no results. I tried sanding mine with 400 grit wet and it didn't do a damn thing. I think you'd have to start lower like 220-320 and work up.

i think there glass right? im sure ya could polish them, but a junk yard might be the best bet, also there is a projector everyone was getting to put in the fogs, they fit with very lil mod to the projector, i think you just have to bend the hanger just a tad, i will try and find the thread

You would have to wet sand them, and finish with a high grit sandpaper and some good polish. I've used Menzerna SIP for this, actually. I would start with 1000 grit and see how that does. If it's not enough 'bite' then step down to something more coarse. I wouldn't go below 600 imo.

Wetsand the lens until the soapy water residue (runoff) coming off the lens turns from yellow to white. Yellow being from oxidized plastic, white being the clean plastic underneath. You can finish with 1500 then polish, or go all the way up to 3000 grit and it'll make the polishing step easier.

REGARDLESS, I've never done this on a Camaro fog light and I don't own a Camaro, but this is the method I've used to restore headlights and tail lights for years. If the lens is glass, however, then I'm not too sure. $0.02

Mine are pretty pitted too, looking forward to input on this.

You should ask Jeff (GoFast) in the Pro Detailer thread...

If your looking for projector fog light housings that are more useful, both the Ford Fusion/Merc Milan projectors and the Blazer Fog lights that theretrofitsource.com sells would be a worth investment. The light output and sharpness of the cutoff is fantastic in both of them. Couple the new housings with 4300-5000 hid or 3000 for yellow and your in business. Both of those your gonna have to adapt the stock Camaro bracket. this was info by ltvert in another thread

I wanted to polish up my fog light housings and put in HIDs. When I went to replace the bulbs, the housing and the bulb had melted together. They were dirty as hell too so I just tossed them up and got new fog light housings. It made a huge difference in how the car looks. Looks like it just came off the showroom floor. I also replaced my DRL housings.

The Blazer fogs might actually be a direct bolt-on and they use the stock Camaro bulbs. Some have said that they may actually be the same (or reproduction) of the fog projectors on the Camaro or Corvette. They are cheap and have good output. They are heat sensitive though. Stick with the stock wattage or if you do go HID, stick with 35 watt. Higher wattage has been known to damage the chrome in the projector bowls reducing output.

Mine are kinda pitted, nothing too terrible though. I have 35 watt HIDs and they shine bright and true

I just finished this exact thing on mine. Nobody offers a replacement lense, I emailed the retrofit source and they couldn't even get them. So I ordered the blazers. The blazers aren't a direct fit because the mounts are different, but if you take them apart they can be. I took the lenses out of the new ones and put into my old ones. They're held in with clear silicone and you have to be careful removing them, I cracked the edge on one a little. Take a razor blade and cut the silicone in the groove, then use two small flat tip screwdrivers and alot of patience and pry them out. Gently, a little at a time. I resealed mine with clear silicone from advance auto and I've had no problems yet. Good luck!
