Default AC delete panel?

This might be a stupid question! But i just received my BMR AC delete panel for my 97 TA. Is the panel suppose to be installed in the engine bay or from inside the car behind the dash?

I called BMR today and was told it gets installed inside the car. But I'm sure it can go both ways.

it is designed to be installed from inside the car. the flanges and other different metal angles will probably not allow you to install it from the engine bay side.

I made a custom one when I bashed my evaporator box to hell and it turned out very well. took about 30 minutes to make it, used a cardboard template and some thin sheet metal. drilled some holes and sealed it up with seam sealer.
