Does it actually have to be from a TA or can it simply be from any Firebird??

Any 93-02 Door panel from a Firebird or Trans Am will fit.
You want color to match?
93-96
97-99
00-02
You'll also have to sift through the cloth/leather.
Generally Firebird (v6) and Formulas will have cloth, while Trans Ams will have leather.
Also, there's base sound systems vs the monsoon system door panels (have large speaker and tweeter).
There's also the door panels that are no-electronics, such as manual windows/locks.

Can you buy them new? Not to my knowledge.

Ebay or a junk yard. I got a cloth panel off ebay because it was $125 cheaper than leather and then paid an upholstry shop $50 to swap over the inserts. Make sure you pull some of the staples out of the panel and replace them with bolts to relieve the stress.
