Default Good *affordable* car cover.

I am looking for a decent car cover for my Firehawk, because I will have to have in in the driveway for an indefinite amount of time, maybe all summer if my project doesn`t go well. So I am looking for a cover that will keep it from getting wet and protect it from the sun mostly. It wont be seeing any snow, unless it manages to snow over the summer.I see them on Ebay and prices are all over the place, from $30 on up to $300. I don`t want to spend alot, so I am looking for the most affordable option. Any thoughts?
Thanks

Whatever you do, don't go the cheap route or get a universal cover. They'll flap around in the wind and marr the paint.

I also have a Noah and love it. Breathable, hugs the car nicely and the car doesn't get wet when it rains. I think I paid around $180 for it.

Outdoor covers usually aren't budget. The ones that are budget are indoor covers.

With that said I have a black form fitting outdoor covercraft for my car. It was pricey but does a good job of keeping the car clean when it sits outdoors.

covercraft has my vote. I have had one for 12 years and love it. My car spent some time in the elements and still looks brand new. They arent very budget though, iirc i paid around $300 for mine as well.....

this is the ONLY thing protecting your paint. $350 for a nice cover is much better than $3500 for a new paint job.

Good and affordable don't usually go hand in hand.

I have a few covers from http://www.bigskycarcovers.com/

Custom covers completely waterproof...and I mean actually waterproof not the nonsense that universal covers claim. Expect to pay around 300.

Guys, this will only be temporary, at the most just until fall until I am finished my other project. Would you guys still insist on a $300 cover given that? If a cheap one causes minor surface scratches that can be buffed out easily, I`m not too worried. I like buffing out my car anyway. I really just want to avoid washing it/detailing it after every time it rains.

Why risk the scratches? You can buff them out, but spend the extra money and get a nice cover. You'll never know when it might come in handy down the line.

I would bet a cheap cover is not water resistant. You'll cover it and the car will get soaked anyway.

Just checked, got mine from Autogeek, showing $235 now, I thought I paid a little less, I could be wrong though...
