Default Red Whistlers on a Black Z?

Anyone done this? I am going to do the whistler mod within the next couple days, and I've never seen a black Camaro done this way. If you feel like posting "do a search," save it... do it yourself and see what I mean. I don't think anyone has ever done this, but if you have, your car is the one I want to see. Hoping to get some pics or ideas, I don't want red overkill but most of my car's accents are in red (calipers, badges, custom bowtie on mesh grill).

With Victory Red... do you think it would be too much, or just too different to look good?

Well, decided to do it now as opposed to in the next few days. They're in the oven and I am flipping coins on black or red...

Do one black and one red. Install them on the car real quick and take a pic.

Wow I feel stupid... obvious solution, thanks! Just a few more minutes in the oven. I'll try to link some pics upon completion.

IMO some badass clean stocks go a long way on a black Camaro. I like whistlers on any color but black and nbm.

Nah, mine were clean, but stocks just don't do the Camaro justice. 2 coats done so far, starting to think the small crescent area to the outside (looks like a small eyelid) in red over a black lens would look better than either a full black or red...

This is one of those things that could be cool on paper but in reality never looks quite right. Ive seen several different colors & want to like them but I never do.

Damn. My indecisiveness got the better of me and I've already started painting them both red. I did a trial fit with them, one black, one red, and the red looked pretty good to me. Once they're done and replaced I'll post some pics so you guys can hate on/bash me. No real need to get pics of black vs red since everyone's already seen the black ones in a black Camaro.

I always liked the idea of other color whistlers... in theory. I tried white and anodized blue. The blue... I have to wait til my car is repainted before I can make a good decision on that. The white only looked good head-on, from the side it was weird IMO. That said, I had at least 3 compliments over the week it was on the car, so....

I'd like to see the red on a black car as long as there were other red accents such as badges, red engine details, etc.

Sorry, but that would be hideous. Go with black or grey or something dark like that.

^^ the white on white looks pretty good! I am thinking any other colors would be ugly.

The white doesn't look bad with the chrome reflectors. I think you could do some body colors if you did the reflectors too especially if you had projectors retrofitted in the housings. Would look more like the c6's that way.
