Detailing my black zr1's So I just finished detailing my black 02 ws6 and it's shining like its never shined before, but my black(with polished lip) zr1 wheels up in the front are looking a little dull! I just purchased the read deep dish ones so those are fine, but what do you guys suggest so I can bring back the shine on the front dull wheels I've tried many degreasers and I've washed ten with different soap/wax combinations and it hasn't really done anything for me! It made a bit of a difference but not enough...what can I do? I want them to shine! Any help would be greatly appreciated

Liljay, so I can use metal polish on my black wheels with no problem right? I mean I know I can just take it to a car wash and pay $25 an they will wash my car detail the inside and the wheels but I want to be able to do it too, incase I don't have money to take it for a car wash from time to time lol!

I mis read your post. I thought they were polished with a black lip. My mistake.
Don't use the metal polish on the black part. That will result in scratching them.
You will care for the black part of the wheel like any other painted surface on your car.
You will have to use some type of compound to bring back the shine in the paint. I would start with something like the Meguairs 205 and a good microfiber. Depending on how bad they are you might have to go with something but more aggressive but its always best to start with less aggressive stuff first. I am going to delete my first post as doesn't pertain to your situation. I apologize for posting that and I am glad you asked for clarification.

I would post a pic of them but I forgot the password to my photobucket lol, however theyre not that bad they still have a shine to them but I want to get them as close as possible to my new deep dish zr1's I just bought!
