Default Thoughts on my diamond plate center console?

I built this a couple years ago, the first was supposed to be just a prototype for sizing, but I never got around to building a new one. It now has blue lights inside.

Damn a Convertible with diamond plate as an arm rest in the summer...That would be hot as hell!

Not my thing BUT looks to be very well made so good job on that.

I think it looks great!

Have you compared weight to the stock plastic unit?

CO99Z28Vert - It actually doesn't get that hot, believe it or not.

2QuickTA - HA! I almost used my neighbor's old truck toolbox until I realized diamond plate wasn't that expensive.

You'll note there are no cup holders, though Haven't quite figured that problem out yet.

That is a cool idea actually - I like the uniqueness of it. Good job man!

If I were you I would throw in some billet goodies to match.

Props for being original, but I think it would look better in a Peterbuilt.

Before I built it, I used the diamond plate for some of my artwork, so I got my money's worth out of it

Hole saw
piece of polished pipe
diamond plate bottom piece
trim ring

Use the right diameter hole and pipe and you'd have a cupholder. Heck put in two, you've got the room.

Thanx, Once I figured out the right jigsaw blade and perfected cutting it, the rest was actually pretty easy.

I haven't tried taking a hole saw to it, but it would prob work if you got the right one.
