Default Need a licence plate bird "masking" decal

Ok, so I'm repainting my car in a few weeks, and I want to paint the bird on the licence plate this time. My thought was to order a vinyl sticker to mask the bird off, but im concerned that it will stick to well, anyone know where i can get a bird decal with more of a masking tape type adhesive?

just so everyone understands, I'm spraying the licence plate filler blue first, then applying the decal, and then spraying the filler plate pearl white. Then of course removing the decal to expose the blue underneath, followed by clear coating the filler plate.

I dont think you will find what you're looking for. Best options are to either lay masking tape on each piece of the bird, and carefully cut each piece out..... or..... take filler plate to a local vinyl shop and have them make you something..... Sounds like a killer mod tho, good luck. Want to see it when done!!!

Edit: guess you could put a coat of wax on the raised bird, then apply a decal, the wax would keep the decal from completely adhering. However, the decal overlays do not completely cover all of the raised portions. so I do not think a standard overlay would provide proper coverage to give you the look you want......

Or you could reverse it (paint it white first) then do what this guy did.....

eh, it's gonna be way easier to paint it blue and mask the bird off. That's how i did my stripes. I do like the wax idea though.
