Default MMM Z28 w/ Harwood 3" wide cowl

I recently bought a friend's Harwood hood off him. Finally was able to put it on. I also have a 97 SS style wing to go with it. I'm thinking of repainting the hood, wing, and mirrors black to go with a maroon/black theme. Any suggestions?

By the way, I'm fully aware of the LSX emblems in blue lol. Pics are off my iphone so I'll try and get some better pics this weekend.

I like how that looks on the LS1's. Whistler the head lights, paint the mirrors black and you will be good.

Thanks guys, i appreciate it! that's the plan so far...painting the mirrors black and also planning on doing the whistler mod!

14K, I agree, i think they do look better on lt1's but you don't see them on ls1's often so i figured why not lol

That's the hood I got for my '94Z when I bought everything for an LS1 front end conversion. Definitely a good looking hood

I think it looks good black. It would look better gloss black though.

Would look better body color with a subtle stripe in black at most.

Mirrors should be left alone..the black ones just break up the body line and stick out like a sore thumb IMO.

This. I say leave the mirrors alone because the fenders flow into the mirrors and you wouldn't have a black fender just to flow with the black mirrors.

The hood would look better with it body color and some form of black stripping IMHO.

Look at the first pic, how the hood sets off the rims and also the rims do the same for the hood IMO and with the hood pins kinda make the chrome on the rims work, where others would just black out the rims.

It has that muscel car look whick I like.

Very nice, i wouldnt paint the hood black, all it will look like is a mismatched hood,i liked my 3 inch ss hood in black when i first got it but it looks so much better body color, imo if ya want black do somekind of gloss black stripe, im also a black mirror fan and think that would look good as well, very nice setup

Thanks guys, i really appreciate the feedback! You guys have great suggestions. I also thought about painting the same color as the car with a black stripe somewhere. I do agree about the hood and the pins going with the wheels though, that's probably why I'm leaning towards leaving it black, but we'll see. Any thoughts/suggestions as far as the ss wing goes?
