Default My 3 day detail

Decided to really clean my birthday present. My sister signed over her 1960 buick invicta to me. It has 66,000 original miles, 455 wildcat motor that has been rebuilt. Modern disc brakes, susp, true dual exhaust. She hasnt waxed it years, just wash an cover in the garage. So dawn, claybar rinse repeat LOTS of mothers wax.Interior is all original and has some fading. Exterior was painted 6 years ago. Oh ya 7 miles to the gallon, 19 feet long and weighs 4600 pounds. This car can be a money pit. But it get lots of looks and wanna be buyers. uufffff im tired

I,m tired thinkin about ya trying to clean the whole thing. It,s big, but not as big as the 62' caddy limo I worked on last year. Guy said he needed grille brackets made, had NO idea he was talking about the rear of the car, including flip down gas door. WHEW

You do know the 455 is not original to the car.

They came with the 401 "nail heads" They call them nailheads because of the small size of the valves looking like nails.

The buick 455 did not debute until 1970. Big touque monsters.
