Default Heavy correction on a black F-150

While out working on a long-time client's car, I was introduced to the owner of this truck. After discussing options he decided to go for a 2 stage correction on his truck and a basic (no paint correction) on his two other cars. The truck was in very poor shape, but thankfully the paint was quite soft and corrected easily. About 85% correction was achieved on this one. There were still some RIDS left as this was far from a full correction but the improvement was dramatic. Unfortunately the client lacked honesty and integrity and also *tried* to physically intimidate me.....so he's out of luck for getting any future work done.

Big thank you to my long-time client Bob Smith for volunteering the use of his garage for me to do this job.

Upon arrival, it was in a very poor state, neglected for years.

Lots of oxidation

Total lack of beading....no surprise there

Heavy contamination, paint felt like sandpaper. Went through 2 clay bars on this one.

....before

....after compounding (final polishing to be done later)

....before

....after

The whole bed and cover were in this condition

After correcting the other side of the bed..

Time to work the cab over....

Clarity restored

The glass had very heavy water spots and was also corrected.

After 2 long days on this rough truck, it was finished.

*Note running boards were not addressed as the owner had chrome ones coming in next week*

Thanks for checking it out!

Great job, Jeff.

Money is money but when someone tries to do stuff of that nature...I'll cut my losses and move on. Money will always be somewhere else.

Wow nice transformation. Did you use m105/205 on this? Cause my parents have a truck just like this and in very similar condition that I wanted to try to bring back to life.

Also what dressing did you use on the tires? I like that sheen.

Cars were not done on days we originally agreed to....says I changed things on him, even though I have emails proving that not to be the case. Same thing with pickup times, he came several hours early expecting to be driving it away and was mad when it wasn't done...fact is I have texts saying what time it will be ready and his acknowledgement that it was fine.

He refused to show ID with his check (which was agreed upon at dropoff) then when I insisted he got indignant and tried to physically intimidate me.
It did not work. *Said in a Johnny Depp voice from Dark Shadows*

Like mentioned earlier, the paint was very soft. The "compounding" shots were with M205 on an orange pad (crazy I know). Left some marring but corrected well. Anything more aggressive than 205 on this paint left severe marring and dullness. Final polishing was Menzerna FPII on an LC black pad and LSP was BFWD.

Tires were dressed with 3 coats of Zaino Z16 Tire Gloss. Normally I just do 1 coat and they look great, but these tires were new and just kept soaking the dressing up. They finally evened out with the 3rd coat.

So M205 on a lighter pad (which I use the White) did not help since I use M105/Orange for more aggressive de-swirling. Curious.

Never had someone do that to me but you meet new people everyday.

I see you wearing a Zaino t shirt in one of the reflections. How often do you use their products besides the tire dressing?

Thanks for the quick reply! One more question lol....what kind of light are you using to show the paint correction?
