Will the 96/97 Camaro steering wheel fit on a 2001 camaro, or are the hubs different? I really would like to get rid of the buttons, while maintaining a stock look, and most importantly, retaining the airbag's functionality.

What about a GTO wheel? I like the thickness and the accents would work great for my shift **** as well. I'd imagine I could rig the horn and the airbag. What about the hub though? Any ideas?

Well, I guess nobody knows about the GTO wheel. There's a few cheapies on ebay roight now I might pick up just for mock up purposes.

Anyone know if the spline / hub works?

If you search around you can find V6 00-02 Steering wheels that dont have the buttons.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I've been all over eBay the last few days. I figured the hubs were the same; I was just curious more on the air bag hook-up. Definately don't want to take one to the face by Mike Tyson.

my bad, my 2000 camaro brochure doesn't show them as an option, that's why I went with 01 for sure. ether way it will still fit.

I can't get over the sound of your car with that cam, LOL. It sounds good for a V6!

When I had my 2000 TA I had radio control buttons.... Maybe Pontiac is different, who knows. Still don't understand them putting GRAY buttons / ***** in an EBONY interior.

Anyone have info on the spline hub of a GTO wheel?

Thanks, all the TA's 95-02 had radio controls on the wheel, so did the 93-94 but they look like they where form the 80's...lol
