all you need to do is pop the HVAC cover off and switch it. then it will be red.

the Black faceplate of the HVAC comes off.Pull the bezel off from around the radio, then remove the *****. Take the 2 screws out that hold the HVAC control in. Then take a small screwdriver and pop off the black cover. Pry it gently from the top and bottom and replace it with one from a TransAm and you will have the red lighting. This is what I did. I also changed the gauge cluster. My entire dash is Red like the TransAm.

The headlight switch overlay can be removed, but requires some trimming to fit on a Camaro... I have one on my car

Can you give a brief description on how you did this? I put a red led in mine but it looks a little dull...not as bright.

That is due to the blue film on the back of the Camaro headlight overlay.. I had to add multiple LEDs behind my Firebird one to get it to light up nice and even..
