Default New Custom Audio/Interior/Radar Set-up in my C6 Corvette Vert'

Made my vette more my own style swapping a bunch of parts out for genuine leather w/ red stitching/Monaco carbon (I installed everything myself--except the audio system which was a huge project with many bumps in the road). Tried not to go to overboard with the materials and NO solid "pimp daddy red" leather. Had the Kenwood 9980HD Unit just swapped for the newly released 9990HD (much faster and better setup, thing kicks a** for anyone thinking of getting it). Also pulled out and sold the build-in K40 i had previously and installed the 2012 Race Edition Passport 9500iX radar (I installed the blendmount and wiretap to give it a clean look). Some pics. What do you guys think?

Couple of shots of the car I took at the same time....

Car looks good. Where did you have the arm rest wrapped? Only concern is looks like the sub is just sittin in a sealed box behind the seat. Doesn't look like its loading up properly.

It's actually a one piece box. Its mounted down. Amp sits with a fan under the partition to make sure the trunk is clear for the convertible top. Sounds a lot better and breaths better as a one piece unit. It hard to make a vert' sound good, but this came out sounding awesome (boston acoustic doors, tweeters, JL 500/5 amp). Also the Kenwood 9990 HD puts out some of the cleanest/clearest sounds ive heard. I would recommend it to anyone.

All the leather is from DS Vette's (shifter boot, shifter, armrest, brake, brake boot). Thanks again.

Oh ok. Verts are very challenging to work on. Sounds like you a fan of Kenwood/JL. I have the 9960 in my DD, and a one of Kenwoods single din in the TA, only JL subs and amps in my cars. I know the 9990 HD is the only one that Kenwood mentioned its upgraded sound quality.

great job with it.

Always been challenging on how to do subs in my convertible camaro also so I took them out, but that location seemed to work out great in your vette.

Gotta love the infinity stuff. I've had one of their 12's in 3 different cars now...geez it's been around for 11 years now. Still going strong!

Nice work!

Thanks again guys for the positive feedback. Infiniti makes some quality stuff for the $$$, definitely a big fan. JL makes some great stuff too, but is a little over-priced at times. Kenwood headunits, IMO, are the best on the market. The sound quality is second to none the Garmin navigation integration is clutch. Boston Acoustics will no longer be in the car audio business (focusing on home audio), so pick up their stuff while it lasts. Their door components are awesome for the $$.
