Default quick plast dip question

I have chrome c5 zo6s on my ss. They have seen better days. The chrome is pitting in the corners and are generally pretty hazy looking. I just picked up some plastidip to remedy this until i can swing some new wheels. What do u recommend i clean my wheels with before i go with the spray?

Dish soap and water but I would clean them with brake cleaner after for good measure.

I honestly used wheel cleaner on mine and has held up great now for about 3 months. No peeling or anything

I had the same issue where my wheels looks bad and just wanted something to cover it up until I can get new wheels
