Default TA Fixed Headlight Retrofit

So My one Motors Burned up and ive had some down time so ive been messing with a retrofit. I had Bi-Xenon Projectors laying Around So it really hasnt cost me anything. I made Frames out of 1" Aluminum flat Stock. Still want to make bezels and maybe lenses to go from the lids to the body line on the bumper. No clue if i will accually Rock this set up yet. But i figured id share and get some input.

That looks awesome. Any more info/pics on the projectors and how you mounted them?
I can't tell from the pics, but are they completely sealed? Is there a lens in front?

This reminds me of an angry Johnny 5.

I can't remember the Model of the Projectors, Ill have to look it up. I had them in the Civic I used to DD, And one Bulb is goofy so ill have to order new bulbs. I heated up some 3" PVC and slid them in then sealed them. I still Need to make some kind of lense to Project the Bowls. They are mounted on aluminum Strips with hose Clamps. Which worked out good because it gives me rotational and Side to side Adjustment pretty good. Ill have too take pictures with the Covers off.

That's a pretty cool concept you have there, OP. I wonder how your cool idea would affect the aerodynamics of your car?

Keep up your outstanding and resourceful thinking and post up some images of your completed design!

Very cool. Always thought the sleepy eye look would work well on these cars. Get a shroud to cover the big open area and this would be a nice setup.

That is a unique way making projectors work. Any output pics?

Without trimming back the covers and molding those to the fenders I think the end result will look somewhat "unfinished"

no output pictures yet. the one projector needs a bulb, It has a bad spot in it. Might not look 100% factory but that's impossible on cars like this unless you keep the flip ups.

So the lids are always in that position? Thats got to look weird at different angles. It would be cool if they would be closed like normal and open only that far.

If you add a second projector, a Halogen High Beam projector may be a better idea than a second bi-xenon.

so i test drove it tonight. The Function is good. But my execution is lack luster. the frames for the covers work awesome but the Projector mounts and adjust ability Blows. Starting to think I need to find factory headlights that will be close to fitting in the gap i have set, Because it would be easier to adjust. I have the front of the lids about 3 inches from the bumper. Anyone have Ideas for housings?
