Question Rear View Mirror Question

For everybody that has the style mirror that is held by the spring clip, does anything else hold your mirror on?

Mine has the clip on it but it is sliding up and down on the windshield "button" - I am not sure if I am missing a screw or something.

If you had a pic too I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much for any help you can offer.

What year is your car? On my old 97 you had to apply around 20 lbs of pressure to get the mirror to click into place onto the clip that's glued to the windshield.

I have a 98, the clip is on the mirror arm, and the button is on the windshield. Do I need to remove the clip then install it onto the mirror while its on the button?

Right now the whole thing slides off - Mirror with clip. I wasn't sure if there is a set screw or something.
