SS hood scoop help

Default SS hood scoop help

I have a 2000 black z28 that I just bought and it has an aftermarket ss hood that is not cut out and I am not going to cut it out in favor of the ssra I like the ss hood but need some kind of grille or something to put where the opening should be any help would be appreciated thanks

The ss scoop was never functional,im pretty sure the ssra goes up under the airbox like the chris1313,the ws6s are the only ones with functional hood scoops,the ss is pretty much just for looks

I thought the ss hood had a curved route for the air to be directed underneath and into the lid in the front?

Oh I assumed ss were functional it has ducting in the hood already the goes up by the air box but if the stock ss hoods aren't functional I could just get a stock grill overlay

Yes the factory SS hoods have ducting that route air into the air box. The efficiency might not be the greatest but it is functional.

You need to cut an opening but leave a flange all the way around it so our grill can attach to it. You will be good to go as far as the grill peice goes.
We have them in four syles and three materials including the Onyx Black mirror material.
