Default 6LE CME Valance

How does the tape hold up keeping it in place?

I should be popping on the CME setup this spring. Attempting to seek information on whether I should have it blended in or if the tape is enough to hold it in place.

It holds up as well as you clean the bumper. I'd recommend cleaning it with alcohol and have a buddy help you. I'd also put one screw in each side (or body panel push pin) for added support.

Tape worked good for me. I put 2 screws by the tires, and 3 by where the tips go. Worked good but i ended up molding it onto the rear bumper. Looks alot better

Did you get yours to stick? Mine came with a VHB tape and it won't stick for ****. I am very frustrated.

I've had the dual round cut 6LE valence for about 1.5yrs, held by the tape and screws as mentioned above. No problems here.

I actually found an OEM SLP valance off a member on here. Any recommendations on what 3M automotive tape to buy for it? Waiting on enough coin to buy a chambered exhaust and then do it all at once. I found a great painter in the 'hood that does work on the side for the cheap. Going to get the tips and bends next month.

No problems whatsoever for me. It's been almost 2 years since mines been on. Screws behind the tires and just the tape everywhere else. Just clean the bottom of the bumper with IPA before applying the valance. I actually put mine on all by myself. I screwed the screws in behind the wheels and the carefully placed the rest of it.

Us the thicker 3M tape. But the "automotive" one. Not just any 3M body panel one.

And here's a pic of my blended rear... looks way cleaner.
