Default Superhawk hood.... what did you use for the latch?

I've got a Superhawk on the way and I need either a firehawk hood latch or some way of modding the stock latch to make it a little easier than just pulling the hook back since you have to remove he original handle. For those of you that made a cool little contraption similar to the firehawk design how did you do it? I'm thinking about drilling a hole in the hook and running a small cable down.

Default

I just used the stock latch. Used a dremel to cut the actual "handle" part off since it obviously wont clear, dremeled in a small "V" notch into the arm of the latch and bent the arm at the "V" notch. Works perfectly. I do need to take a grinding bit to the part where i cut the handle off as its just 90deg angles and doesnt "feel" finished but till then its perfect enough for me
