Default Good HID kit brands?

Thinking of getting HID's for my 02 z28 and im wondering what are some of the better brands? 2 years ago i got HID's off ebay for my modded grand prix now theyre toast but i cant complain, $170 for HIDs, and halo headlight housing. But this time i want just the bulbs (and yes i know about how i should have projectors, cant say i've found any that really catch my eye yet.) I found this on google http://www.carhidkits.com/8000k-hid-kit-184.html

Up for suggestions, thanks!

I had a buddy that paid alot more for his hids than my other buds cheapo ebay ones, honest we all thought the ebay ones looked better,if ya just want the look a cheap kit is the way to go,but if ya want real function you will spend alot more, but i was never a fan how any projectors looked on camaros

i went through dozens of DDM tuning's POS ballasts before i finally just bit the bullet and got morimoto 50w ballasts. They fire up every time, warm up instantly, and have lasted me years. I had regular 35w DDM's, slim, 55w, 55w slim, they all failed. Not to mention they have the worst/slowest RMA service i've ever seen. Get a good upgraded harness, too. I use theretrofitsource.com for all of my HID stuff. very knowledgable, and great prices.

Please don't put HIDs in your stock headlights......they are NOT made for HIDs and will just shoot the light everywhere blinding everyone on the road.

Search on here plenty of people fit in projectors in the stock headlights or buy some made with them. If you are going to do HIDS then do it correctly at least they also look better when done the right way.

My wife's minivan has an Ebay kit and it still works after 6 years but had to replace one bulb. Ebay kit on my G8 still working after 4 years with original bulbs.

Ddmtuning has gone down hill BIG time. Anything you buy now takes 3 weeks because they don't stock anything and so everything from china...I would stay away from them.

Agree with buell, DDM has definately gone down the *******. I have had 3 kits from them for te same vehicle. It never fails every single year I have to send them in for a new kit, and for a DD this sucks.

2 members bought a kit each and received them within 4 days.

I read this a little over a week ago. I have heard their shipping delay issue has been solved.

Their kits are the only ones I have never had an issue with, and for the price range they look the best.

I don't see how. I needed a bulb replaced and called and asked if everything came straight from china and not them and they said yes. So basically you pay for them to be a middle man. This happened on the last kit and the two parts out of the kit that had to be replaced. I got a Amazon kit that works much faster better than the 10+ kits I've had of theirs over the years. They don't tell you this in advance so I'm just telling potential buyers what to expect.

Have used over 10 kits from DDM over the last 5-7 years and no issue at all with any of them. Still use them on every new vehicle I get. Cant beat the price. Yes shipping from China is slow but who cares. you think something named MIRIMOTO didnt come from China?? lol!

EVERYTHING comes from China now. Just go with DDM and dont look back, Hell if you are worried about it, as cheap as thier stuff sells for order 2 of everything and you will have a spare just in case haha

I don't mind so much that it comes from China. I mind that they don't tell you before you order and I am paying for them being the Middle man or order takers. If I am going to give them my business the least they can do is stock some of the kits they offer rather than stocking nothing they sell you. Sadly they have parts I'd like for her bimmer but won't buy with their lack of customer service.

For sure. My Morimotos put all the others I've had to shame.
