may have to do mine. At the very least I'll sand them and have them painted... they look like a single stage of a 2 stage paint.... ie... no clear and dry...
What did you use? heat gun and 3m adhesive remover?

I just let the sun heat it up since it was hot out today. and used my fingers to get the rest off. it only took me 20 minutes.

What about older cars???
What will it look like underneath them?? My car is nearly 100,000 miles, and not really well maintained by LS1Tech standards anyway. Is there gonna be a clean, smooth line down my door? Does newer factory paint fade? My car is black, so I don't want to uncover a clean, smooth, blacker streak down my door, but I really want to do this.
If these things are going to happen, is there anything I can do first to minimize how noticeable it is???
Thanks, BTW, looks great!!!

If youve kept up keep on the paint I doubt the fade is very much, and the area where it is, will just look more shiney since its on a bodyline....
Or you can, and I recommend it, start maintainging it, get it polished up etc...
BTW post a pic of how the paint looks now, if you can get one where the light shows everything.

Has anyone done this to a Camaro? There is a bump strip/side molding that runs half way down the door, in between the front and rear wheels. Just curious.
Thanks,
G
