what color to paint brake calipers and brackets, can't decide
Decided to powdercoat my calipers and brackets on my 02 Firehawk, red with yellow decals and chrome torq thrusts. Originally I was going to do red calipers and either black or silver brackets, but seems like too much red. Then I was thinking black calipers with silver brackets, or the other way around. Then I thought about black calipers with yellow brackets and the yellow firehawk emblem on the calipers. Worried the yellow might be too much but then again i think it might look good at the same time. Any ideas as I can't decide.

When I painted mine, my first thought was just like yours, powder coat them. I talked to the guy that handles mine and all my buddies powder coating. He said that he didnt think the finish would last on a caliper because of the heeat generated from the brakes heat cycles. So, I am not saying it wont work, I would check more into it. I did see a guy on here that sanded his calipers down smooth, and polished them. He has TT II's, and it look awesome (link: https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...-brackets.html)
Here are pics of mine, incase you need an idea. I printed out the caliper decals, and cut them out, and painted them. I used card stock. If you do this, make sure that the trans am logo is atleast 4 inches long. I had to play with it a bit to get it right.

Red definitely looks sharp. Yellow could be too much.
to the painting issue, certain paints hold up just fine. I had really bad luck with metallic based high heat acceptable paints. They just faded badly.
