Default Got a wild hair

Since my transmission rear inner seal decided to coat my under carriage I took the time to redo a lot of things and paint and clean underneath.

Currently redoing the Suspension, Eibachs are sagging in the rear and the old stock Monroes have lived past their life. I have new Strano springs laying in the box inside the house until I get the shocks next paycheck next month. Cleaned up the loose fluid all over my exhaust and rear end. Sanded and smoothed out what I could see and didn't care painting over the old setup.

You can see where the trans fluid all over my exhaust has been caked on. Just been nervous of it always catching fire. Been working on polishing it all out.

Rhino Lined the creases underneath

All that was last weekend.

Tonight I knocked out the Wire Mod, TCS Relocation, Catch Can.

Still have a lot to do and try and update as it goes on. Like to do some interior mods (LEDs, T/A antenna, Hi/Lo Beam), but being on a two post lift I am not trying to squeeze between the door, post, and car for now. lol.

It looks like your steering rack is begging for mercy in the form of a good degreaser.

Looks clean! What kind of paint did you use on your calipers? Looks very close to hugger orange. Gotta paint my calipers.

Advanced Auto had 3 colors, the red, Chevy Orange, and a Chevy Red-Orange. I bought the Red-Orange cause the red always goes dark. It in the Dupli-color cans. It is brighter at the moment(sprayed underneath lol) but might darken up some when it cooks.

I dont mind lol. I just got bored one night and ventured through all the sticky's and FAQ for the free mods.
I did the wire mod and tcs at the same time:

I didnt do a whole lot of prep work. Found whatever grit sandpaper I had laying around and cleaned off the parts that just needed attention. Did a couple of coats of black followed by 2 coats of clear. After you let the original paint sit/dry just go over it with clear. I used Dupli-color spray cans from my local Advanced Auto parts. Since I am getting new springs and shocks I didnt care to paint over it. Less masking to do. When It came to masking tape, I bought 2 rolls and didnt skimp out covering parts and I didnt want to get paint on. I am by no means a body man lol. And I have already taken off the battery post cover lol. That pink didnt stick out to me til I posted the pics online.

That looks good. I plan on doing something similar when I redo the suspension this spring. I'll have it all apart anyway, might as well clean it up.

The wire mod looks good too, but two things keep me from doing it... risk of rust on the cut metal edge and water getting in the connections. I know a lot of people don't have issues but knowing my luck I'd get water in there and screw it up.
