Thoughts on Rhino-Lining Interior
Carpet is trashed. I mean GARBAGE. For the longest time I've been thinking of replacing the tan crap for ebony, but now I'm leaning towards just ripping out said carpet, and putting down a thin layer of black rhino lining.
Anyone done this? Any pros or cons? It's not a show car by ANY stretch of the inagination.
How's the weight vs carpet? How's it do with noise?

I've done it, but used flat black spray instead of rhino lining. Its gonna save you weight, and the color will help it look like its not "gutted" so most people cant tell from a quick glance. But as far as the sound?..... bottom line, your taking out the sound deadening material and replacing it with nothing basically. So you better like it louder, or just have a great stereo system. Its only as bad as your suspension and exhaust system.
Good luck

One thing though, if you go with Ozite and you frequently street drive the car - make sure you run floormats in it - the Ozite stuff tends to fray after sliding your heel over it alot moving from gas/brake.
Also, you wanna buy that wheel from me or what? Its still sitting in the garage

Never considered lining my Camaro.... but I did my Jeep last fall. I used tintable Raptor Liner. It's been bulletproof to date. I'd definitely recommend a "spray-in" liner. It's finer in texture. The roll-on stuff (Herculiner comes to mind) will look like total $hit. That stuff is nothing more than paint with ground rubber chips in it. Rhino-liner, Raptor-liner, LineX, etc are epoxy based liners.
BTW, bedliner will provide some sound and heat absorbtion, though not as good as carpet.
Raptor-Lined cargo area
Tintable liner mixed with factory paint. It's a bit darker than the outside, but not too bad.
Close-up of liner to show what the texture looks like.

Little more research...
I put rhino lining in the title as a generic term. Like calling an adjustable wrench a "crescent" wrench, etc.
I'm really liking this product called Line-X. It's a lot thinner than rhino lining, and has a lifetime warranty. (Weight savings)
That jeep looks really good though. Well done.

Oh I have. But I don't plan on getting rid of this car anyways. The paint is HORRIBLE from the previous owner; **** fact-o-bake job.
Cars getting a weld in 6 point in the next few months. It's pretty much turning into a street legal full blown drag car at this point.
