Default Cme help

Trying to install a CME on my Z28, but the valance seems to be a little long at the wheel opening by about an inch on both sides. The valance has three ear tabs, part number is 11059, im not sure if its supposed to extend like that, but the contours around the rear fit real nice. The Body Shop wasnt sure so i thought I'd ask the experts here. Any help would be appreciated

I would compare pictures of one properly installed and compare to where the body shop is placing it on the bumper. I believe it sits a way up on the rear bumper, about a inch below the licence plate cut out.

im not sure what u mean? a pic might help. when i installed mines i put the ends by the wheel well first then worked my way into the middle after. u might just be putting the valance too low down the center of the bumper to start with that your making the tips by the wheel well look longer than they really are.

^ Exactly!
Place the Valance onto the bumper and move it up until both ends fit snug, you can then make a mark so you know where it needs to be when peeling the tape off. It does sound like it is being installed too low on the bumper which is causing the issue you are having.
Unless the CME Valance you got was molded incorrectly.

Good luck man!

If I start at the wheel wells it bows out on the corner bumpers. Having trouble posting pics; but would love to see examples from anyone.

I bought used off CL, looked OE but who knows. Thought about just cutting off excess. I'll try moving it up, but I don't see a lot of play there to move up or down.

These guys are correct. Start at the wheels, and work your way back. There should also be a "tab" in the center of the Valance. That center tab is also on your car below the plate. Thats where the tabs meet.

Dont 'know if any of these pics will help...
