Default C6 corvette paint correction

I had my friend drop off his C6 Corvette the other day for a much needed paint correction. The sad part about this whole deal is that he just had the hood and and new Z06 front bumper put on and painted. The actual paint work is nice but the shops finishing work IE wetsanding and buffing is absolutly horrible. I was shocked to see all of the DA marks from sanding still left in the clear coat. Not too mention how much they charged him and now he has to pay me good money to fix it. He already brought it back once and they still didnt get it right. I will be updating this thread as it gets completed. Anyway on to the before pics.

The Car: 07 C6 auto with Z06 bumper, quarters, wheels, bolt-ons

Front bumper. Notice all of the sanding marks left in it.

More DA marks

Here is a couple after shots with just compounding and a light polishing. No where near completed but you get the idea. Night and day so far.

There's no way I would've paid the shop if they left the door like that.

Nice work!

What pad/compound are you using? The reason I ask is there are quite a bit of marring after the light polish. I'm going assume the body shop used softer clear coat than what GM did?

Using M015 and a wool on most of the bad spots unfortunately. Tried using a yellow cutting pad but it wasn't doing the trick. I did end up having to sand some of the DA marks out. Yes the hood and front bumper do have softer clear. The rest of the car is factory clear. He paid them to wet sand and buff the rest of the car but they left a ton of sanding marks in it. Especially DA marks. Not sure if you are talking about the marks in the front bumper or door I noticed a little bit too and took care of it.

They already have seen them. Long story that I won't get into here.

Sent you a PM, I was going to post it here but I don't want to clutter your thread up.

Keep up the good work.
