Default Trans am map light bulb number? LED?!?

What bulb fits in the map lights for the firebird/trans ams?
They arent the same as camaros (for some dumb reason).

I believe 2000 or 2001 is when it changed to the 194 bulb. Anything prior is a Festoon bulb like so:

Well im looking for some led bulbs. (I have a 99)

So does anyone have some white leds for their festoons? Whered ya get them?

I used a blue 6 led that I spliced into wiring. Got it from superbrightleds. Obviously this isnt a direct swap but if you can splice two wires you can do it. I'm putting two others in each footwell area tied to same circuit.

Can you go on their sight???? If you do you put in year make and model of any car and they show you every bulb in led available for your car

Well. According to their sight... My car takes 194s im the map and dome. This is false infomation so its kinda hard to trust any other info on there so i decided to post a question on the forum to see if i can dig thru the wrong info to retrieve the correct info

I don't know what you are looking at but for 99 TranAm it shows two different numbers for map and dome and niether are 194's. I cannot get on the sight right now but I know it is not what you quoted. I responded to this thread cause I am into led lighting and thought I could help you but that does not seem to be working to well. I'm outta here.

this is what my 2000 had in it......now i have leds........MUCH brighter
