Charcoal vs. Ebony interior?
I did a search and couldn't really find what I'm looking for. My Trans Am has the charcoal interior. Given the look and paintjob my car has I really feel like the interior's color really really sucks. In fact I hate it. I do plan on doing some fiberglass work with a few things on the inside but nothing to crazy.
I'm going to get all the seats reupholstered and put in black carpet.... Is the factory ebony interior much darker than the charcoal?
I guess what I'm looking for is a side by side comparison of some interior pieces. If anybody can do this I would really appreciate it.

Not only much darker but different grey families . Charcoal is a cool grey( more of a blueish hue) and Ebony is a warm grey(yellow/brownish hue)
LoneGunman-GM didn't dye the dash or any interior panels.
Meckster- I just realized your car was 99. When you said charcoal I automatically assumed the LT1 years. Your charcoal( medium dark pewter) is substantially lighter than ebony, even more so than charcoal.
Ebony
Medium dark pewter from the 97-99's.

I personally like the charcoal, gives it more of an old-school hot-rod look. If I had ebony in my '99, it'd give the car a more modern look which isn't what I'm looking for. But... to each their own.
