Default plastidip gold metallic rims

decided to plastidip my rims. I only did the 2 rear wheels because i ran out of time but this is the preliminary test. Did 4 coats of matte black and 4 coats of gold metalizer. I plan on plastidip my emblems gold and also the rear bumper panel. i should finish everything up by monday. Overrall i really like the look

That's interesting. Normally I love black cars with bronze wheels, but not the case here.

whats good about plastidip is that i can take it off. I really did a halfass job on it and i haven't put the glossifier on. i wanted more of the vintage gold like on the hurst edition, but they dont sell that locally

It may look decent, but this example is poorly executed.

I was gonna say, looks like you got overspray all over the tires and looks like you flat out missed the gold on some part on some of the wheels, go back, mask it off properly and clean it up then replace these crappy job pictures, I might actually like it then (expected to totally hate it when I read the title).

I like the idea and I think your car really pulls it off! Except the overspray, that needs to be corrected. Overall though, I like it!

I will say this, the calipers need to be addressed if you keep this.

Other than the overspray, i like it. However i can see myself getting tired of it after a while. Good thing it comes off.

actually the gold metalizer gives it a black pearl to it. It might look i might miss some parts but if u look at it from a different angle its all covered. with the overspray all i have to do is get a coarse tire brush and brush it off.
