I can see it being unsafe bc of no airbag, and cops around here don't really care about steering wheel swaps, people can get butthurt all they want, it isn't their car its mine, if they don't like it, then guess its a good thing they're not drivin it

Insurance companies don't do any type of inspections on cars here, so they wouldn't know

Here is a pic of mine. It's a LeCarra wheel. Sorry for the pic from the passenger side. It's actually a picture of my car that I found online.

If it was all black that'd be a good one for me, how much of a pain was the install

Well, unless you got in an accident that was supposed to set off airbags. I could see them refusing to pay out any medical costs or something if that happened.

Just a word of caution, that's all.

I completely understand, I know the risks, hell my car is already technially illegal to drive, no cats, tinted taillights, dark window tint, I'm just wanting something that looks better and is more comfortable than the stock steering wheel, the stock one is just too big for my taste honestly I don't wanna go super small but 2 or 3 inches smaller in diameter would be awesome

Funny thing is I did a search before I made this thread, went through the 250 threads that came up as a result and didn't find any threads with pics of multiple different steering wheels.
One day I dream of a ls1tech where some people don't act like know it all backwards.

I was actually just looking at a ws6 the other day with a aftermarket wheel. It looked out of place to be honest.

I've always said gm dropped the ball when they designed the wheel and gauges in these cars
