Default Trans Am build thread, Mwc/weld/Umi/nitrousoutlet/eyecandy inside!

Over the past two years i've been busy updating and upgrading the Trans am.

Here is my story,

From the beginning:

The car was modded and ragged on for years with a best of 11.06 at the track. I had to get out of the sport for a while due to babies and even considered selling her.

After some time i was lucky enough to continue the sport, so i dusted her off and began about 2 years ago:

First thing to go , old cutch and hydraulics,

I cant beleive i dont have any pictures of the Tick master cylinder or Monster stage 3 clutch!

took off the old intake/fuelrail/valvecover and did some wire mods:

NEW fast 102 intake/tb/ ls2 fuel rail/injectors and holley valve covers and nitrous outlet kit :

Then on to some suspension:

Then i purchased some Zr1 wheels from a buddy on here and went to town on painting those:

thread here : https://ls1tech.com/forums/paint-bod...-out-long.html

Now the good stuff, After driving it for a while i went looking for a diff and went the MWC route. Glad i did! Fab9 -3" on each side.

Doing so allowed me to look for a new set of wheels, after talking to some friends on here i went the Weld RTS route:

Thread here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/paint-bod...onts-done.html

Then some weight reduction and cool mods:

After many many alignments and lots of time diagnosing problems the car runs great and ready to take her to the track!
(after nitrous tune)

And that leads me to now:

And some eye candy lol :

Its seems like its been forever since i first started but im glad i took all those steps and it was fun.

Is it over you ask? Not in my blood:

to be continued:

Thanks to :

Couldnt have done it without the millions of questions i had during the process.

Get some shot kinda at an angle from the back to show the tires. Nice set up though. Good thing you didn't sell her.

What back spacing on the wheels?

Car looks great! I love the look of the wheels/tires with the narrowed rear.

Why didn't you go with a tubular kmember?

Good question,
i thought about it alot and even though it would have saved space and weight, i drive the car alot on the street.
i have seen too many threads on broken k members on here from street driven cars. So i decided not to risk it, atleast for now.

I may revisit the idea after the motor build.

Great job. That narrowed rear end and wheel/tire combination is PERFECT.
