Funny... that pic on the 3rd-gen site is of an early 4th-gen. Some early 4th-gen came with that as a factory option although its relatively rare.

I have 2 of those upper consoles sitting near my desk. I haven't installed either yet in my 2001 Formula because my late 4th-gen doesn't have the mounting holes and studs in the roof. I'll have to drill/tap some holes or weld on some nuts. It's on my to-do list. I just haven't gotten around to it (along with other interior upgrades). I also plan to update it a bit to look newer and fit the interior better.

Here is another link I found a while back:

Thats a complete new one on me and the first time Ive ever heard someone mention an overhead console in a 4th gen. Ive still got all my factory literature, manuals, order guides ect from 93, if it really existed it was never mentioned anywhere in anything.

The pic above is a 4th gen. The rake of the windshield and t-top design are clear giveaways. Further if that was a 4th gen interior in a 3rd, the upper dash would about 1/2 the depth.

Your not likely going to get that answer on this site. Go to thirdgen.org, those guys over there will know the pinouts on the console. Its a popular mod on third gen. Then google search shoebox and rear view mirror wiring and that should get you the pinouts for the 4th gen rear view mirror. Shoebox has wiring for virtually everything else, don't see why he wouldn't for the mirror. You could also use a test light on the 4th gen mirror for pos/neg wires on the map lights.

http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/appe...-95-z28-22410/

Since you have the VERY rare 3rd Gen Camaro Berlinetta console with the "purple" wire (dimmer timer) as I do - I've attached a wiring diagram how mine will be installed in my 96 Firebird. The wiring is different on this console from the non-Berlinetta console.

ok guys i know last time i poster about this over 2 months ago yesterday i finished it i got the 3rd gen overhead console to fit my 4th after doing the t top mod i decided to go back to this idea i had after ordering some LEDs for the map light and dome light i reupholstered the headliner cut the holes for the and wired it up after drilling a few holes the wiring was easy too just quick splice the two leads into the blue striped wire and the ground so ill be posting pics of what i did maybe ill do a write up if anyones interested but seriously it was actually a simple mod that adds tons of light into the interior now

btw on closer inspection of the pictures it is a 3rd gen with 4th gen interior the shots of the bare roof dont match and the headliner already has a big hole where the 3rd gen dome light fit so i think i truly am the first person to do this! at least i wanna feel special and say i am

Try using correct grammar and some ******* PUNCTUATION instead of whatever the hell THAT is. You might get more responses. Trying to read that is like listening to a coked out 6 year old with ADHD.
